The Diamond Casino Heist has the biggest single payout in GTA Online — up to $3.6 million from the vault. But between the Arcade, the setups and the crew cuts, what you actually keep is another story. Here's the full breakdown.
Why the Diamond Casino Heist?
It's the heist with the highest ceiling: the vault can hold diamonds worth over $3.6 million. It's endlessly replayable, you pick your own approach, and it's a staple money-maker alongside the Cayo Perico Heist — and now the new Kortz Center Heist.
What you need to start
- An Arcade property — from around $1,235,000 (Pixel Pete's in Paleto Bay is the cheapest). It's your base for the heist.
- A $25,000 setup fee paid to Lester to begin, plus small prep costs.
So you're roughly $1.2M in before your first take — and the crew takes a slice of every finale (more on that below).
Vault contents & values
The vault holds one of four loot types. Your first-ever run is always Cash; after that you might get artwork, gold or diamonds. Diamonds only appear during special event weeks. Approximate maximum values (hard mode):
| Vault content | Approx. max value |
|---|---|
| Cash | ~$2,115,000 |
| Artwork | ~$2,350,000 |
| Gold | ~$2,585,000 |
| Diamonds (event only) | ~$3,619,000 |
Max take vs. what you actually keep
The maximum possible take is $3.619 million (diamonds, hard mode, full bags). But that's the gross — before Lester's cut and your crew's cut. In practice, a solid two-player crew realistically walks away with ~$900,000 to $2,100,000 each, depending on the vault target, the difficulty, and how cleanly your teammate plays.
On top of that, the Elite Challenge pays a bonus: $50,000 on normal or $100,000 on hard mode.
The three approaches
- Silent & Sneaky — full stealth. The most prep (up to 11 setups) and the most team coordination, but you keep more of the loot if done clean.
- The Big Con — disguise your way in and out. A good balance of prep and reliability.
- Aggressive — go in loud. The least prep, but you take damage and lose loot value, so your final take drops.
Crew cuts & the best hacker
Every crew member takes a minimum 15% cut in the finale, and your hacker determines how long you get inside the vault:
- Avi Schwartzman — 10% cut, 3 min 30 sec vault time (the recommended pick).
- Paige Harris — 9% cut, 3 min 15 sec.
More vault time means more loot grabbed, so the extra 15 seconds from Avi usually pays for itself.
Is it worth it — or is there a faster way?
The Casino Heist pays big, but the maths is real: a $1.2M+ Arcade, prep for every run, crew cuts off the top, and a cooldown between finales. Great money over time — but it's a grind, not instant.
If you just want the GTA$ without the setup, you can buy it directly:
- Need cash now? → Buy GTA 5 money (from $4.99).
- Want the full package? → Cash & Cars bundles or a modded account.
